Praveen, the co-founder of Rugby Meditation Centre, began his spiritual quest when he was around 23 years old. After completing his graduation in Electrical Engineering, he spent several months at OSHO Ashram in India. During his stay at the ashram, Praveen practised long meditations and realised that his soul purpose was to inspire other souls to practise meditation and live a yogic life with joy but detachment. He was transferred to Germany in 2000, where he continued his practice and teaching while pursuing his job as Project Manager.
Praveen moved to Rugby in 2006 and opened Rugby Meditation Centre in 2008 to promote meditation and healing for general well being and peace of mind. In 2011, Praveen went to India to learn Hatha Yoga at Dev Sanskriti University in Haridwar. In 2013 he went to Shivananda Ashram in Rishikesh to deepen his practice of Meditation and Yoga.
Praveen continues to lead Group Meditations and Yoga Classes at Rugby Meditation Centre on Thursdays while also conducting weekend workshops to teach Patanjali Yoga which includes all the eight limbs of yoga leading to continuous bliss and enlightenment.
Praveen’s aim is to create a happy, joyous and blissful society through the practice of meditation and yoga. It is his deep desire to make meditation and yoga accessible and available to everyone without commercialisation.
