Hello, I’m Johannah from Natural Holistics, a Somatic Therapist, Yoga Teacher & Life Coach.
All my life I’ve been curious about the connection between mental and physical well-being and how to overcome life’s obstacles and challenges in a natural, nurturing way. There is no one right way to go about your own healing. It is as unique as you are.
As a Somatic Therapist I specialise in chronic illness and trauma recovery through building a healthier mind-body connection. By resetting neural pathways we can balance our nervous system, bringing a feeling of safety within ourselves, leading to a more joyful and fulfilled life. I can support you to find your unique way of getting through difficult times and getting to a place of well-being. Together we can discover which therapies are the best for you at this time on your journey. Keeping in mind that your needs will change over time.
My classes and treatments
All my therapies and yoga classes are trauma informed with a focus on mental health, trauma and nervous system regulation and befriending the body. I mainly work 1-2-1 with my clients so we can address their individual needs through somatic work. We will explore a variety of practices to ground and self-regulate through yoga, RMTi, reiki or whatever is needed at the time. We also look at connections between chronic illness and pain and our mental health.
My yoga classes are also trauma informed with a focus on befriending your body and regulating the nervous system. This class is very small, 4-6 students, to ensure everyone is held safely in the space and I can meet their particular needs within the class. I often mix yoga practices with brain gym, RMTi and other modalities that are beneficial for self-regulation. This class includes a lot of psychoeducation around trauma, mental health and how all of this affects our body and mind.
