Sharon Mabey
I started practicing Yoga after being diagnosed with Hypermobility Syndrome, I was in a lot of discomfort, felt overwhelmed and was struggling to cope with everyday life. I became one of Kailash’s students and under her guidance I have thrived.
Yoga has transformed my life and has made me a stronger, calmer and kinder person and because of this I decided to train as a Yoga teacher with Whitespace Yoga Studio to gain the knowledge, confidence and skills to safely share what I have learnt with others.
In addition to the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Professionals certificate I have completed further training in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and I am currently studying a 150 hour Pranayama course. I teach Yoga around my day job and in my spare time I continue to develop my own personal yoga and meditation practice
Style and level of classes I teach
My classes are gentle and relaxing with a focus on mindfulness, slow movement, finding stillness and breath. Yoga is a very personal practice and I will always offer modifications and alternative options to ensure that my classes are inclusive and accessible to all body types. I particularly love teaching Yin Yoga and feel that there is real magic to be found in the stillness. My classes are light hearted and friendly, creative and enjoyable and are suitable for both beginners and those with experience.
